Bergen County Republican Party Chairman Robert Yudin Issued the following Statement In Honor of Memorial Day:

On behalf of all the members of the Bergen County Republican Organization, I want to thank all the men and women who served in our nation’s Armed Services. I offer my sincerest thanks and respect to not only those who served, but to the many families who have given us their sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, aunts and uncles – all in the cause of defending America.

I also want to thank all the men and women currently serving in our nation’s military both home and abroad. I commend them for their noble actions and for proudly reflecting the values that have made America the most unique nation on earth.

As a former U.S. Naval officer, I know the sacrifice required to serve in our nation’s military and I thank God that there are men and women willing to put their lives on the line to protect America and all that it stands for.

Memorial Day weekend offers us an opportunity to reflect on the great character displayed by millions of Americans who for two centuries have put on a uniform to defend this nation. I hope all of us take a moment, as we gather with our family and friends this weekend, to recognize those who fought and those who died for the cause of liberty – and the many families who have lost loved ones while in the service of their country.
